How to reset Winsock

If you are encountering network issues, such as no internet or unable to access network resources, it may be due to an issue with your winsock file. 

To reset the file, follow the steps below. 

1. Click start and type CMD.exe and hit enter to open your command prompt.

 

 

2. In the command prompt window, type netsh int ip winsock reset resetall.txt then hit enter. After you hit enter, there will be long string of items being reset.

 

 

6. Restart your computer.
